Meta tags are considered to be an important aspect of SEO.Meta tags are brief description of the webpage. Search Engine show the Meta Tag information under Title of Webpage in search result.

Earlier Meta Tags were given much importance but now a days Search Engines giv emore importance to other factors than Meta tags.

It is bunch of information related to the website like – What is Theme? What is Description? It also includes the Keywords for the page.

Keywords are also used in Meta Tags. These keywords are relevant to your web page. By adding the keywords in Meta tag can be helpful for search engine to indexing the website for those words and searcher can get result for those words.

Though many search engines are not giving more priority to Meta tag but there are some who are still follow the traditional way, so it is bad idea to ignore the Meta Tag. Just add it to your website; it will really work for those who are still love old.
